Bering is named after the Bering Strait connecting the two polar regions Chukotka (Siberia) and Alaska. We have very fond memories of both racing and travelling many miles with our dogs on both sides of the Bering Strait. He lives with his dad Shaytaan’s Psycho Killer at Shaytaan Siberian Huskies/Rob & Louise Cooke in Whitehorse. The picture of Bering was taken by Louise Cooke. Bering has finished a number of races already, among other the 1000 mile Yukon Quest.

 

He has his sisters , Silver Gulch, Nadezhda Hope and brother Grizzly in our kennel.

 

His mother Najak finished among others both the 2014 and 2015 Iditarod with our team and his handsome father Shaytaan’s Psycho Killer (Psycho) finished the Yukon Quest as well as the Iditarod multiple times and was a great leader. He was also part of the first team of Siberian Huskies to finish both the Yukon Quest and Iditarod in one season with musher Rob Cooke.
