Happy 1st Birthday!
Najak’s colorful 5 are having their first Birthday today! How time flies – one year ago Bering (at Shaytaan Siberian Huskies) followed by Nadezhda Hope, Silver Gulch, Uelen and last but not least Grizzly saw the light of the world on a cold, rainy Summer day in Alaska.
Uelen’s sponsor sent this wonderful Birthday card for the “puppies”.
Najak’s puppies were fortunate and grew up in a typical Alaskan Autumn with early snow and unlimited possibilities to explore their world.
It didn’t come as a surprise that these guys were naturals – with Najak, who finished among other races both the 2014 and 2015 Iditarod with our team, as their mother and the handsome Shaytaan’s Psycho Killer (Psycho), who finished the 2013 and 2015 Yukon Quest as well as the 2015 Iditarod as part of the first team of Siberian Huskies to finish both 1000 mile races in one season, as father.

Just have a look at the video below. This was the very first time we put harnesses on them and let them run in front of the sled, aged 6 month. They have since continued their development and grown into great looking, promising dogs with an seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy and great talent. This Winter they will mature in harness in their yearling training season – there is a lot to learn. We are going to have tons of fun with these four in the years to come!
