About This Project

Svolvær is enjoying retirement from our raceteam and is now leading a recreational team of four other Siberian Huskies from our kennel

Born: 10.03.2010
NKK reg.: NO52283/11
Breeder: Hans-Christian Ørjestad

Svolvær is a very sweet and loving boy who loves to jump in your arms. Very social and playful, loves to be around people and get attention.
Svolvær is a funny cheerleader in harness who still thinks trailstops are unnecessary. He is a very good leader and hard worker. Never slacks his line.

Svolvær finished the 2014 Iditarod and ran almost the entire race in lead together with Snuppa. He was dropped from the 2015 race due to a minor sore wrist as the upcoming lag between Tanana and Ruby was 200km and I didn’t want to risk him having problems.

2015 Iditarod. Start-Tanana

2015 Knik 200 Joe Redignton Sr. Memorial Sled Dog Race, Alaska, USA (260km)
